Raveen Bains (partner)
Raveen heads the matrimonial department at Patrick Lawrence Partnership. She is a very experienced family solicitor having handled many complex high net worth disputes following marriage breakdowns involving multiple properties, valuable pensions, businesses, and foreign assets. She is also able to assist clients in disputes concerning children, disputes between unmarried couples and, if required, injunctive relief.
Raveen also deals with probate matters and estate administration and prides herself on her personal, meticulous approach, delivering comprehensive advice in an efficient manner whilst always striving for the best outcome for her clients – as reflected in her strong reviews on Review Solicitors.
Lauren Baker (partner)
Lauren Baker qualified as a solicitor in 2010. She specialises in child protection and public law representing parents and children in care proceedings.
She became a Children Panel member in 2012. Lauren is an experienced advocate representing clients in fact finding hearings, multi-day hearings and complex contested hearings in both care proceedings, cases concerning jurisdictional issues as well as forced marriages, FGM and sexual exploitation cases. She has recently become involved in the establishment of and training at the Family Drug and Alcohol pilot court in Kent.
Toni Charlick
Toni is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
Toni has worked at Patrick Lawrence Partnership since 2006 and undertakes Probate matters, Wills, Lasting Power of Attorney applications and Trust Registrations. She also assists with accounts.
ANGELA GOODWIN (PARTNER)
Angela is a solicitor undertaking work mainly in relation to children and specialising in care proceedings. Angela also deals with advising clients in relation to Special Guardianship, adoption and has experience in dealing with cases with an international element.
Angela has been a member of the Children Panel since 2003 and regularly represents parents and children in complex care proceedings. Angela graduated in Law from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 1997 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2000.

Sharon is a Chartered Legal Executive who specialises in child protection care proceedings and has 20 years experience including working with parents, family members and Intervenors in care proceedings.
alexandra hughes
Alexandra qualified in 2005 and is an accredited member of the Law Society Children Panel and specialises in care proceedings. Alex represents both parents and children in complex cases involving non accidental injury, parents who have difficulties with mental health, learning needs and drink and drugs.
Alexandra also represents parents who are involved in the Public Law Outline, attending meetings, providing support and guidance.
Alexandra prides herself on client care and will always go above and beyond for her clients, providing compassionate and supportive advice.
ANDREW HUMPHRIES (Partner)
Andrew can assist clients in divorce proceedings and financial disputes between couples, whether married or unmarried.
He represents parents in private law proceedings involving disputes as to child arrangements.
Andrew has a specialism in representing parents and family members in care proceedings brought by social services and has been involved in a number of complex cases involving allegations of non- accidental injury, in particular defending parents and interveners in cases where non-accidental head injury is alleged against them.
Deborah Lawrence
Deborah is the joint head of the Probate department along with one of our partners, Karen Wallis. She has over 20 years experience in this area.
She graduated with a BSc from the University of Greenwich in 1981.
Patrick Lawrence (Partner)
Patrick has worked in family law for over 40 years and was a founding member of the first national network of solicitors dealing with injunction law. Patrick deals with cases concerning all aspects of family law and also handles Wills.
Patrick is an advanced member of the Law Society's Family Law Panel and a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors' Family Law Association). He graduated in Law, with Honours from the London School of Economics in 1977, qualified as a solicitor in 1980, and established the business with his sister Karen in 1983.
Farrah Lawrence-Mackey
Farrah is a trainee solicitor. She assists the Family Department. She received her PhD from University College London in 2019.
Karen Wallis (Partner)
Karen established the business with her brother Patrick in 1983. She is the joint head of the Probate department.
She qualified as a Legal Executive in 1990 and a Chartered Legal Executive in 1995.
