Lauren Baker

Lauren Baker qualified as a solicitor in 2010. She specialises in child protection and public law  representing parents and children in care proceedings.

She became a Children Panel member in 2012. Lauren is an experienced advocate representing clients in fact finding hearings, multi-day hearings and complex contested hearings in both care proceedings, cases concerning jurisdictional issues as well as forced marriages, FGM and sexual exploitation cases. She has recently become involved in the establishment of and training at the Family Drug and Alcohol pilot court in Kent.


Toni Charlick

Toni is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and also a member of Resolution.

Toni has worked at Patrick Lawrence Partnership since 2006 and undertakes accounts, as well as handling probate matters and Lasting Power of Attorney applications.




Angela is a solicitor undertaking work mainly in relation to children and specialising in care proceedings.  Angela also deals with advising clients in relation to Special Guardianship, adoption and has experience in dealing with cases with an international element.

Angela has been a member of the Children Panel since 2003 and regularly represents parents and children in complex care proceedings.  

Angela graduated in Law from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 1997 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2000.

Andrew undertakes work in all areas of family law. He is particularly experienced in matters concerning child protection and care proceedings.

Andrew is able to assist vulnerable adults and children in formal complaints and civil actions against police and other public authorities.



Deborah Lawrence

Deborah is the joint head of the Property and Probate department along with one of our partners, Karen Wallis. She has over 20 years experience in this area.

She graduated with a BSc from the University of Greenwich in 1981 and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.



Patrick Lawrence (Partner)

Patrick has worked in family law for over 35 years and was a founding member of the first national network of solicitors dealing with injunction law. Patrick deals with cases concerning all aspects of family law and also handles Wills.

Patrick is an advanced member of the Law Society's Family Law Panel and a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors' Family Law Association). He graduated in Law, with Honours from the London School of Economics in 1977, qualified as a solicitor in 1980, and established the business in 1983.



Manpreet Sall

Manpreet is a Solicitor within the Property Department. She graduated in Law, from the University of Kent and trained with a regional law firm in Kent.

Manpreet is fluent in Punjabi.

Rachel Swann

Rachel is experienced in private law family matters including divorce, financial and cohabitation disputes, private law children disputes and injunctive matters under the Family Law Act 1996.

Rachel graduated in Law from the University of Kent in 2002 and became a fully qualified Legal Executive in 2008. She also takes appointments to discuss and draft Wills.



Hannah Wallis

Hannah is a Conveyancing Executive in the Property Department. 

She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and has a BA Hons in Italian.



Karen Wallis (Partner)

Karen is the joint head of the Property and Probate department. She has worked in this area of law for over 30 years and has extensive experience in tenancy dispute cases and other areas of commercial property law.

She is a Chartered Legal Executive.
