What is Legal Aid?

Legal Aid refers to a series of schemes run by the government to help people pay for legal advice if they cannot afford it.

If you qualify for Legal Aid or Legal Help we can give you advice, help you understand your rights and the law and, if necessary, represent you in Court. This will be funded by the Legal Services Commission.

However, Legal Aid is NOT free law. If you gain any money through the course of your case or your circustances change you will be required to pay back some or all of the money you have received.
